Our First Home

Having a home has always been a dream of mine. A dream that pulled on my heart strings the more I watched "Fixer Upper" and scrolled through Pinterest's "Home Decor" tab. For a while, it didn't seem like a tangible/possible thing. But what do I know?As always, God placed His hand in it all. He provided even when I was full of doubt & uncertainty.

We started our active search soon after landing jobs in Louisville. Swiping through realtor apps & picturing your life in the beautifully staged photos was really easy. Walking into the homes & seeing the reality was the hard part. But then it happened. God lead us to a home that had me crying as I walk through the kitchen. I turned to Justin & cried "I want this one!" Thankful our amazing realtor/friend, Andrew Wayne,  was not phased. He smiled & continued to lead us through the house. I fell in love with every room, every charming detail.

A month later, we were preparing for closing & I WAS FREAKING OUT.As I sit here in my living room, it is still somewhat hard to believe that this is OUR house. Although the first two weeks of homeownership were not as glamorous as the ending of a "Fixer Upper" episode, it has allowed me to learn more about myself, my family & the extraordinary God that never ever fails.

In celebration of our new home, I was able to work with the wonderful Ashley Glass! She provided us with breathtaking photos & was able to work around our mess of boxes.I feel so thankful for this new chapter of life & I am eager to see how God uses us in this new home and neighborhood.
