A Pumpkin Carving Tradition 2019

Halloween+Eve+2019-74.jpg

It’s almost Halloween!

Every Halloween Eve, we carve pumpkins! Three years ago, we had been looking to buy a house in Louisville. On this day, three years ago, we found out that we got our first house! It’s one of my favorite memories of our transition to Louisville. It reminds me of how God always provides, even when we are stressed or doubtful.

We’ve done this every year but Eliora has never been as involved as she was this year! She loved taking out the “pumpkin guts” & drawing out her face! Nyki & Kaden were so focused on creating their carvings & it was so fun to see everyone so into the experience. Eliana played with her mini pumpkin & stickers (which ended up being ripped apart & thrown on the floor 🤷🏽‍♀️)!

We all created some awesome pumpkins! I was so excited to get them on our front porch to light up!

I love creating family traditions. It brings me so much joy knowing that we can share in these unforgettable memories with the people we love the most.

What are your Halloween traditions? I hope you find ways to create with your family this week!
